Changes in Grain Yield and Yield Attributes Due to Cultivar Development in Indica Inbred Rice in China

چکیده

Inbred rice has been grown more and widely, while the planting area of hybrid decreased by approximately 25% in China since 1995. This study aimed to assess changes grain yield attributes due cultivar development indica (Oryza sativa ssp. indica) inbred China. Field experiments were conducted 2019 2020 determine performance an super Jinnongsimiao (JNSM) released 2010 comparing it with high-yielding Guichao 2 (GC2) 1978 Y-liangyou 900 (YLY900) 2016. Results showed that JNSM produced 18% higher than GC2 but 6% lower YLY900. Compared GC2, had spikelets per panicle, spikelet-filling percentage, harvest index 67%, 4%, 11%, respectively. YLY900, 14% weight 19% biomass production during pre-heading period. The difference period between YLY900 was explained crop growth rate duration. suggests (1) recently outyields old as a result increasing panicle size, index, (2) further improvement can be achieved improving through promoting growth.

Correlations among Grain Yield and Yield Attributes in Maize Hybrids at Various Nitrogen Levels

Three maize hybrids (Baber, Pioneer 30P45 and Syngenta 6621) were compared for yield and yield components and correlations were worked out among the yield parameters at various nitrogen levels in an experiment conducted at Agricultural University, Peshawar, Pakistan during summer 2009. The experiment was laid out in randomized complete blocks with split plot arrangement having three replication...

Photosynthesis, grain yield, and nitrogen utilization in rice and wheat.

Rice (Oryza sativa) and wheat (Triticum aestivum) are the two most commercially important crops, accounting for more than 40% of global food production. They were domesticated in different climates and differ largely in their growth environments: Rice is tropically cultivated in hot, wet climates, whereas wheat tends to be grown in cooler temperate climates. However, both crops have been bred i...

OsMPH1 regulates plant height and improves grain yield in rice

Plant height is a major trait affecting yield potential in rice. Using a large-scale hybrid transcription factor approach, we identified the novel MYB-like transcription factor OsMPH1 (MYB-like gene of Plant Height 1), which is involved in the regulation of plant height in rice. Overexpression of OsMPH1 leads to increases of plant height and grain yield in rice, while knockdown of OsMPH1 leads ...

PAY1 improves plant architecture and enhances grain yield in rice.

Plant architecture, a complex of the important agronomic traits that determine grain yield, is a primary target of artificial selection of rice domestication and improvement. Some important genes affecting plant architecture and grain yield have been isolated and characterized in recent decades; however, their underlying mechanism remains to be elucidated. Here, we report genetic identification...
